“Good people… who have traveled from villages near and far, lend me your ears!”
Heralds are the Town Criers for the event! They announce News, Activities, and event happenings all around the Festival. They are the Messengers of the Event!
All volunteers for Heraldry will report to Legacy Bay Office 15 minutes before a scheduled shift to receive the list of announcements and discuss the route they will follow and ask any questions they may have.
Once the volunteers have received their list of announcements at the Legacy Bay Office, they will follow a route marked on a map given to them with their announcements, calling for attention and crying out the information loudly, clearly and concisely. They then answer any follow up questions to the best of their ability or direct the questioner to the Legacy Bay Inn if unable. They also take notes for events and announcements from the populace to bring to the Lead Herald for future announcements.
If sign boards are going to be at the event the heralds will distribute schedules, original and updated, and maps for those, which should be printed on a parchment type paper and using a thematic but easily read font.
