Ahoy! 

Welcome to Land Volunteering! We direct folks to their encampments, ensure speedy and efficient “move in”, and keep track of space in open camping. This shift will directly help land grant maintain space usage and ensure that everyone can camp at the event. 

 Duties: 

• Gate assist – Work with cat herders to make sure arrivals have the most effective route to their encampment. 
• Open Camping – Walk a specific route to check open camping spots and maintain the numbers to make sure space is being utilised effectively and relay information to Land Steward 

Requirements: 

• Customer Service skills 
• Be Respectful to all Staff and Patrons
• Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, dry, wet) 
• Ability to be in direct sunlight for long periods of time. 
• Able to Stand for long periods of time. 
• Able to direct traffic to any event space if prompted and maintain contact with the Land Steward to keep things running smoothly.
• Dress appropriately (you will be on the road/grass and moving) 
• Must not show up inebriated to shift! (Land Steward can/will dismiss you and you will not be paid for your volunteer shift. The incident will be logged with the Volunteer Coordinator. If your shift was part of Land Grant hours, the shift will not count.)
