Parking is one of the essential services for the nation and generally the first to greet anyone.
Below Are volunteer opportunities for Parking
All Positions: Pay 40ns
Duties:
- Gate – Work with cat herders to keep traffic and registration moving.
- Entry 1 – First point of entry. Direct cars to registration and answer simple questions.
- Entry 2 – Assist Entry 1, with special attention to RVs and ADA questions.
- Point – Direct traffic off of the main loop to the next available Roamer.
- Roamer 1 – Command, walk, or otherwise direct vehicles to appropriate parking spots.
- Roamer 2 – Assist Roamer 1, paying special attention to ADA, trailers, and oversized vehicles.
- ADA 1 – Direct traffic to ADA and answer related questions when parked.
- ADA 2 – Assist ADA 1 and Roamers with parking vehicles.
- Flaggers – Out on the main road, controlling one way traffic.
- All – Maintain radio contact with Lieutenants, registration to keep things running smoothly.
Requirements:
You’re on the road, always be dressed appropriately, regardless of which event it is. Wear comfy shoes. You will be out in the weather. Plan accordingly.
*All Volunteers should be prepared to check in at Volunteer Services 15 minutes prior to the start of their shift to allow time to check in and then make their way to their duty area.
